Hmm

Ok, I admit this is a little weird, but why on earth would you want to buy an inflatable "friend" for your dog?. Sure, it will reduce those embarrassing "why is your dog humping my leg/shoe/some other inanimate object" type moments, but its bound to create many more "WTF is that for!!" questions, and if the real doggie in question is nowhere to be seen, I think there are inevitable conclusions you would draw about the person who owns one......

Seriously, are dogs really ever _that_ lonely

There's just something about the shape of the toy's head that makes me think that this perhaps is the real reason as to how the Dodo became extinct.

As to your question, well my old hound used to get rather errrrm excited...by both the vacuum cleaner and the Flymo; which would suggest that a) yep sometimes they do get that lonely, b) air suction/expulsion does strange things to a labrador and c) the daft sod had no concept of risk assessment with a view to exercising discernment.

Whether the latter is a trait of species, breed or gender is open to question ;-)
